April 5th Contradance

Our next dance will be Friday, April 5th.
Performers will be NO'Shanigans, with Casey Mullaney calling.

O'Shanigans, hailing from Ithaca, is normally made up of multi-instrumentalist Phil Robinson playing guitar, talented young fiddle player Tim Ball and jam-leader Mike Ludgate on mandolin. However, for this dance, Gail Blake from Kitchen Chair will be subbing for Phil. While originally created for a St. Patricks Day event, they play American and Celtic fiddle tunes as well as dance music from France, Sweden and the Middle East. Their energy and fun-loving style combined with imaginative arrangements all make for a musical treat.
You can find more about O'Shanigans at their website http://www.canaaninstitute.org/oshanigans.html

Casey is a recent Hartwick College grad who began calling there and has extended her experience throughout upstate NY. Her love of contradancing is obvious in her clear, skillful instruction and her warm and friendly style. Hope to see you on the 5th!
